HEAIF an innovative non-governmental non-profit making organization that works for the promotion of reproductive health, rights and general development of women, young people and communities, founded by Mrs Emerald chioma chukwuma.

HEAIF is an organization serving the poor and needy people especially women and children in the community in rural & urban slum areas in Nigeria, and backward communities in the states of Nigeria.

The organization is helping children and their communities towards a wholesome future filled with hope, dignity, justice and peace. Reaching out to the poorest of the poor in target areas.

HEAIF works through partnerships to bring about lasting change in the lives of vulnerable people.

HEAIF is an independent entity within our country with a distinctly and active board of executive committee governs HEAIF

Mission Statement

To empower individuals, especially women and girls, through education, skill development, and mentorship. HEAIF is dedicated to combating sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), advocating for justice for survivors and children, and breaking cycles of poverty, abuse, and marginalization—unlocking potential for a brighter future.

This is made possible through:

  • Training on income generating activities

  • Ensuring economic self-reliance and empowerment for the rural poor

  • Training on innovative techniques in agriculture and cottage industries

  • Creating appropriate educational and hygienic infrastructure

  • Constructing appropriate water and sanitation infrastructure

  • Ensuring the creation and maintenance of a revolving loan scheme for construction of independent economic base

  • Rural health provision and development

  • Provision of legal support for the rural women

Aims & Objectives

1. Provide support, advocacy, and resources for survivors of domestic violence and abuse.

2. Empower women and girls through education, vocational training, and economic opportunities.

3. Promote health, wellness, and nutrition for vulnerable populations.

4. Foster community development through capacity building and social entrepreneurship.

5. Advocate for policy changes and social justice initiatives.

Objectives:

  • Seek opportunities to maintain and develop intra and inter community interaction
  • Engage with existing and develop strategic networks and opportunities for collaborative working
  • Promote and share FSWC best practice with relevant community, voluntary and statutory sectors
  • To grow and sustain an effective organisation

Objectives:

  • Build sustainable revenue through a variety of restricted and unrestricted income streams
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation tools and systems for impact measurement
  • Ensure sound organisational governance through an appropriately skilled Board of Directors
  • Recognise and value staff and volunteer expertise and provide opportunities for continued professional development
  • Maintain and promote HII as a recognised quality assured organisation
  • Maximise organisational effectiveness through actively seeking collaborative working opportunities

Goal

The goal of HII is to contribute in improving the living standard of the vulnerable communities in Nigeria through community mobilization, capacity building, advocacy & strengthening of institutions at the grass root level.
